Rough Blow Drying!

Efficient, Organized, rough blow drying is the key to stylish hair. I’m going to let you in on a few industry secrets!

Always Blow Dry Scalp To Ends!

Hair grows from scalp to end. The outer layer of your hair, the cuticle, also grows in shingle-like layers from scalp to end. When you blow dry your hair upside down, you blow against the cuticle and that causes the frizzies.

When you blow dry from scalp to end, you get lot’s of shine and less frizz.

Blow Dry Hair 80% Dry Before Using a Brush

Wet Hair Is Fragile. You should get most of the moisture out of your hair before using a brush. In fact, your roots should be dried first, then you should focus on your ends.

Blow Dry Hair In The Opposite Direction You Want it to Fall!

Pretend you have a line that runs down the back of your head. Blow Dry Hair with your hands away from that line. Your hair should be moving towards your face.

Really use your hands to lift the hair and wrap it around your head. The curve of your head will be “set” into your hair. After you have worked your hair forward for a while, use your hands and blow dry toward that back center line. You will have soft, full volume in your hair.

Blow Dry Crown Upwards Towards Your Forehead

Really lift and stretch that hair over the curve of your head. When your push it back, you will have super soft sexy volume. Who doesn’t love that?

Bangs, Bangs, Bangs!

Bangs are their own beast. If you want a side swept, blow dry your bangs to the opposite direction. It helps to move them back and forth a lot to build curve and volume.

For shorter bangs, blow dry straight up, them down right away. Keep on repeating this and you will have soft volume in your short bangs. Make them look jagged and piecey for a modern look!
